AFF (Accelerated Freefall) PRICE LIST
The AFF Course is a 9 stage programme designed for those interested in becoming involved in skydiving.
COURSE AND STAGE 1 JUMP…………………….........................................….$430
The full day’s ground training course starts at 7am each Saturday (bookings essential). Your first jump is usually carried out the next day.
STAGES 2 – 8 JUMPS……………………….……………………………….$195 EACH
STAGE 9 JUMP……………………………………………………………...………...$100
AFF COURSE MINIMUM TOTAL…………………………………………………..$1895
Following the successful completion of Stage 1 you will gradually progress through the rest of the training table. Each new stage requires a 15 – 20 minute briefing with an instructor. The aims of each individual stage must be met, and you must be able to demonstrate the required freefall skills in order to progress to the next stage.
Each stage will be carried out from up to 14,000ft, except stage 9, which is a lower altitude jump carried out from a minimum altitude of 4,000ft.
Ideally, plan to do at least 2 jumps each time you come to the DZ. This will greatly aid in improving your skills and confidence. Currency is of the utmost importance in skydiving.
When you start out in skydiving you need to jump at the very minimum every 2-3 weeks (ideally each week) to be considered “current”. Some jumps, for
example, stages 3 & 4, are often required to be carried out on the same day.
NOTE: If you leave long periods of time between jumps you will need to be reassessed by an instructor with regard to your suitability to jump. If the instructor
deems that it is not safe for you to jump you will need to arrange to do a refresher course at another time, or even to repeat the AFF course.
“A” CERTIFICATE: The AFF Course goes towards this, your first, internationally recognised licence. Due to accuracy and other licence requirements an “A” licence is usually achievable in around 15 – 20 jumps. The minimum total for “A” Licence
qualification is around $2500.
