At Sydney Skydivers safety always comes first, fun comes in a close second.
Our instructors are APF accredited and highly experienced; our modern sports skydiving equipment is maintained and serviced to strict standards. All our crew abide by our stringent safety regulations and those of the Australian Parachute Federation.
Our Chief Instructor has over 32,000 personal skydives and is the single most experienced skydiver and senior instructor in Australia and one of the top in the world with that level of experience and jump numbers.
The Sydney Skydiving Centre has been operating for 40 years and we have made over 2.5 million skydives, something unmatched in Australia.
Skydiving is an extreme sport, and like any extreme sports there is a certain amount of risk involved. We operate to a strict set of regulatory procedures and guidelines. All incidents, as small as they may seem, are reported to the Australian Parachute Federation and as part of normal safety guidelines our staff , equipment and operations are all regularly audited by Safety Officers of the APF who approve and renew our APF club membership.
Sydney Skydivers has beed awarded a prestigious NSW safety in sport award for the continued development of safety within a NSW sports club.
Recent statistics in Australia stated that 1 in 10,000 skydives resulted in accident or injury. Compared with the statistics for registered cars in reported accidents being 9.8% , the most dangerous part of your day is likely to be driving to the skydiving centre !
